On the corner of Youree Drive and Ockley Street stands a unique Spanish-style building known as A. C. Steere Elementary School. Built in 1929 on seventeen acres of land, A. C. Steere is a K-5 neighborhood school, Preschool Gateway Center, and Talented Arts Program Center. In 1991, the school was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Our Mission

We the faculty, staff, parents, and community are dedicated to providing all A. C. Steere students with the necessary academic and social skills for success in a safe and nurturing environment.

Our Vision

A. C. Steere Elementary School strives for all children to become independent lifelong learners with the competency to successfully and productively serve the community.
