Expectations
 

To maintain our tradition of excellence and enable all students to develop we have set the following expectations for students attending AC Steere Elementary.

Respect and obedience toward each staff member will be required of all pupils at all times.

· Gum and candy are NOT permitted at school.

· Necessary materials must be available for each class. Lost materials must be replaced as soon as possible.

· Each student will be expected to learn how to care for his own belongings. A locker will be shared with another student.

· Interference with another’s belongings will not be tolerated.

· A high standard of behavior, speech, dress and respect for others will be expected at all times.

· Knives and other dangerous objects will not be permitted at school.

· Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive at school between 7:40 and 8:00. Encourage your child to come home immediately after school. If you plan to pick up your child after school, please be at school by 3:20 p.m. If an emergency arises, please contact the office immediately. Upon arriving at school, students are not to leave the school grounds without checking through the office. GIVE YOUR CHILD COMPLETE PLANS FOR THE DAY, ESPECIALLY ON RAINY DAYS!

· Please label coats, sweaters, etc. with your child’s name. Many good items are lost each year because we cannot identify the owner. Please check the “Swamp Bucket” located across from the office for missing items.
