A.C. Steere has a very active and concerned parent group. Everyone is invited to become a member of this group. A small membership fee is collected, and membership is open to parents, grandparents, and teachers. Everyone will be sent notices of the general meetings, which are held at night. Please show your support by attending. The PTA Executive Board meets during the day, and much of the organization’s business is conducted at these meetings. Board meetings are open to all parents with meetings at noon in the auditorium on the second Friday of each month during the school year. In addition to serving the parents, students, and teachers of A.C. Steere, the PTA also raises necessary funds to improve our children’s education and shares new ideas for improving our school. The PTA sponsors most school activities throughout the year including the Carnival, Pizza Slice Fridays and Field Day. All our fundraisers make it possible to give back to the school in the form of monetary donations for necessary items such as teacher supplies and computers. The A.C. Steere PTA has a wonderful base of parental support but it is exciting when even more parents and grandparents are willing to get involved. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available. If you have talent in the areas of fundraising, tutoring, etc… and wish to volunteer please contact a PTA board member today.
